Mission Statement
The Alternate Service Information Structure for Narcotics Anonymous is a point of collection for the informed group conscience of NA.

...While we believe an attempt to reform NA Service from inside the existing structure might be beneficial what we believe to be a more effective strategy is to provide a steady, reliable, non-political, non-combative alternative for directly responsible service...

1. At A.S.I.S.- NA '07 we unanimously decided that we would collect and therefore 'define' the informed Group Conscience of NA each June at the A.S.I.S - NA conference from questions or motions put forth by NA Groups.
2. We will ask for questions or motions from NA Groups that will be distributed to all member groups (and any groups who subsequently join, as well as members in the process of forming groups). We will do this at the NA History & Traditions Retreat each September, so everyone has an eight month time-frame to decide the question or motion after becoming accurately informed.

RE Tradition 2 - The
Groups we serve believe that a real Group Conscience means that the group has been objectively,
thoroughly, and succinctly informed of the
probable consequences of a yes or no vote
and has read a simple yet complete and objective
argument both
to the
pro and con of any question to be decided.
RE Tradition 9 – The
Groups we serve believe that direct
responsibility means a service board
or committee
first asks those they
serve for direction
regarding that
service board or committee’s policy before performing services.
RE Tradition 7 The Groups we serve believe that to be self-supporting
we should require all service boards and committees to
provide us with complete accountability of the
funds they use to serve us and open participation so any and all NA members may contribute their talent and creativity to any
and all service projects?
